Ya know, that was actually moving. No, really, I mean it. The school cafeteria is a real petrie dish of emotions, confrontations and, as Kate so succinctly put it, defining moments. Kate may love to have fun, but she’s no push-over. She’s a force to be reckoned with…and certainly unique. I liked the LARGE character Kate experiencing and sharing things that could be real life events. I also like Travis, Loretta, the Hummer wealthy woman etc. Maybe they’ll come for a visit (one can always hope).

The nice thing about the cafeteria, maybe the only nice thing, is one day you realize you grew up and that’s the past, and all that follows you from those days are what you learned and how you dealt. While not specifically condoning violence, Kate dear, I congratulate you on contriving a more effective and pro-active coping strategy than most.
I wonder how long it’ll be before you decide the Congdon woman is holding you back?
Do let me know when the first Kate Winkle coffee mugs come out. I’ve got a spot here on my desk all picked out.
