Great opening, wuahahahahaaa!
Superstitions are fun to look at and trace back. Spilling salt means bad luck because salt was once an expensive good (ever wondered about the word “salary”?). Opening an umbrella inside tends to break stuff, possibly mirrors, which means your place will be littered with broken glass. You don’t walk under a ladder because you might make it fall, or well, something could fall down on you. And wasn’t it the Chinese that say “an open toilet draws money out of the house”? I wonder why, I wonder why… Help me out on the cat and penny stuff!
How about celebrating your fifth wedding anniversary? Wheeee!
Jesus H Macy!
be careful out there.
Breaking a mirror is like in the top 5 worst luck things you can do.
oi vey!
Is ripping the tags off a mattress considered bad luck too?
I didn’t even realize it was Friday the 13th until I saw this video. I’m not very superstitious but this was fun.
Oh goodness, hope you make it through the day without falling off a cliff or some other unlikely tragedy!
Your podcasts wont play on the iPhone.

Some other silly superstitions:
– Never walk under a falling safe.
– Never share your sandwich with a guy fleeing TB quarantine.
– Never deep-fry a turkey indoors.
– Never argue about journalism with anyone named Chad.
– Never stiff your anchor over a paycheck.
All of these things will come back to haunt you.
Ahhh…That’s the kind of Amanda bit that got me hooked on RB lo those many years ago (at least it seems like many years).
Your lips look funny. You’re not doing that collagen thang, are you?
Thanks for the heads up Mark. I will be including a “click here to watch on your iPhone” link for each episode from now on. This version is different from the other 3 feeds and is 640×480 to get that extra crispy video on your iPhone. Thanks.
When you fell in front of the ladder and changed perspectives, the ladder disappeared from the background when the black cat crossed your path.
So so funny, Amanda you’re awesome.
yes,I like friday the 13th and the texas chain saw massacre.bigbigbig
Perhaps one the worst things to come from Friday the 13th is all the horror movies that spawned from the the concept.
sure was fun seeing you (and, I’m sure, Mario behind the camera) in my neighborhood again!!!
Wait, one more thing…was that Sara Carson from Newz Girlz in the backround??
I think by doing those all in one day in fact counter act the bad luck. cute episode
Speaking as someone who has worked on ladders extensively, the reason it is bad luck to walk under a ladder is a tool might drop onto your head from above. This is especially true since the worker may be exasperated by the danger to him/her posed by people walking unconscionably close to the setup.
Breaking mirrors, clearly one might get lacerated.
Salt might be bad luck if it got on the floor and snookered a footfall.
Picking up face down pennies might be bad since one is contemplating that detail while bending over on a busy public street.
An open umbrella indoors might poke someone in the eye.
Crossing that black cat’s path was pretty scary though.
Of course, if one were to fall asleep in bed, one might get killed in their slumber by a jet engine falling off of a plane.

Amanda/Mario, its becoming so hard to say bad luck these days, I suggest we change it to Bluck, or B-Luck.
fun episode!
All naughty friends lyrics really, but there was tremulously svelte that was overwhelming about her performance.
